Sandra Lloyd has worked in delivering training, mentoring and community capacity building in the non-profit sector for over 11 years with an additional 2 years as a social change researcher in the education and law faculties. She has an Anthropology Honours degree from UWA and more recently a Masters in International Community Development from Deakin University.
Sandra’s passion has always been working to change the lives of women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. She is a Community Development Project Leader at Companion House in Canberra – Assisting Survivors of Torture and Trauma and has during this time begun facilitating a variety of refugee social enterprises. Drawn to the recovery potential that meaningful enterprise facilitation can bring to refugee women and their families, she became a Sister School Facilitator with Global Sisters and has been excited to watch women take-up their new learnings in the business education program.
Sandra looks forward to keep using her Community Development approaches in Global Sisters and weaving a supportive network around new Sisters that are determined to have a go at a new journey in enterprise.
