Joana Cerejo

Social Impact Measurement Lead

Originally from Portugal, Joana is a dedicated Social Impact specialist, with a wide range of professional experience across different sectors and countries and an underlying commitment to fostering positive social and environmental outcomes.

Recently, as an Impact and Learning Specialist at SEFA – Social Enterprise Finance Australia, Joana has applied her skills to work on the design, implementation and evaluation of meaningful professional development programs across corporate and not-for-profit sectors, including the first SEFA x PRF Social Enterprise Growth Incubator in 2023, supporting social enterprises towards sustainable scaling paths. Previously, as part of the Access and Inclusion Team at Vinnies, she worked on the delivery of several accessibility and inclusion capacity-building projects across Sydney.

Before coming to Australia, Joana’s passion for social entrepreneurship led her to roles such as Project Manager at an international development organisation, where she facilitated a comprehensive training program in social entrepreneurship and coordinated the implementation of pilot community projects in Africa, as well as Community Manager at Impact Hub in Lisbon, a global network of co-working spaces, innovation labs, and community centres designed to support entrepreneurs and startups working towards positive social and environmental impact.

Joana lives and works on unceded Gadigal land (Sydney) and spends her free time ocean swimming, hiking and traveling to off the beaten track destinations – when at home, she loves cooking and hosting board games nights.
