Hi Sisters. We understand the added challenges solo mums face as you manage both work and family life. We’re here to help! We exist to make business possible for all women, and are now offering a dedicated support program specifically for solo mums who wish to start their own business.

We know you’re probably drowning in life admin and that the form below looks long, please don’t let it stop you from joining us and please reach out to me at members@globalsisters.org if it does.

This Intake and Consent Form is comprised of:

  1. an overview of the Program
  2. a Privacy Statement
  3. an Agreement to Participate
  4. an Intake Form.

You must agree to and complete all components to participate in the Solo Mums in Business Program with Global Sisters.

Program Overview

Global Sisters has designed a program specifically to support solo mothers, receiving the Parenting Payment Single (PPS) benefit in Australia, to start and grow their own businesses. If you agree to participate in the Program, you will have access to Global Sisters’ programs, tools and community to support business ideation, launch, set up, start up and growth. The Global Sisters program is summarised in the image below and is subject to changes and additions.

Global Sisters strives to offer flexible support – our programs are available to you online, for you to work through in your own time or offered LIVE alongside other business women, guided by an expert. You are able to participate in the Global Sisters suite of programs as and when you need them and can pause your participation at any time.  How amazing is that?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In addition, as you progress through the program you will be able to unlock access to an additional package of support, including:

  • Free monthly data plan worth $50/month – after completion of My Big Idea
  • Complimentary refurbished laptop – after completion of Sister School
  • Assistance with brand development valued at $500 – after completion of Sister School
  • A free Square Reader and dock valued at $65 – commencement of First 10 Customers program
  • Business photography services valued at $500 – pre-launch
  • Personalised accounting software and services – during business set-up
  • Marketing support package valued at $500 – when business is ready
  • Social media marketing valued at $750 – when business is ready

This program is fully subsidised by Global Sisters’ generous funders. Your identifiable data will not be shared with the Commonwealth Government, including Centrelink.

Parts of this Program are being funded and managed by the NSW Department of Education. The NSW Department of Education will not be sharing your identifiable Program data with the Commonwealth Government, including Centrelink.

Initial Assessment of Eligibility

To confirm your eligibility for the Program, Global Sisters is seeking your permission to sight your latest Centrelink Statement. This will be used to confirm that you:

  1. Reside in NSW or another State within Australia.
  2. Are currently on the PPS and receiving the full or partial amount.

If you are found to be eligible, Global Sisters will store a copy of your Centrelink Statement in a secure platform. Global Sisters will only share this evidence with the NSW Department of Education if the Program needs to be audited for any reason.

Participation

If you agree to participate in the Program, you give Global Sisters permission to:

  1. share data on your progression through the Program with the NSW Department of Education.
  2. liaise with a third-party accountant to review your business Profit and Loss Statement to determine business sales and profit, as outlined in the Privacy Statement.
  3. share de-identified details with an independent evaluator, research institute or funder who will evaluate/research the effectiveness of the Program.
Your Views and Feedback

At Global Sisters we take complaints seriously, all complaints will be shared with the Global Sisters Leadership Team who will strive to understand and resolve any issues.

Privacy Statement

Data Collection and Disclosure

Global Sisters will collect the following:

  • personal information that you provide in this Intake and Consent Form.
  • personal information contained in your Centrelink Statement.
  • your progression through the Program and the activities you have completed.
  • evidence to demonstrate that you have launched a business, including evidence of any revenue and/or profit the business generates.  Table 1 below describes the type of information that might be collected and the ways in which Global Sisters might collect it.
  • information about your exit from the Program (if applicable).

The NSW Department of Education may also collect information about your participation from Global Sisters, in the ways outlined in Table 1 below.

Whether you complete any of the following activities delivered by Global Sisters:

  • the First 10 Customers program
  • one of Global Sisters coaching programs, including:
    • Coaching circles
    • Industry Runway (LAB & Collab)
    • Specialised sister support
  • Accessing microfinance for your business through Global Sisters
  • Establishing a Marketplace or sales channel.

Global Sisters will record whether you have completed elements of their Program in their internal Hubspot system.

Completion reports may be shared with the Department of Education.

Whether you launch a Business and sell a product or service 

If you launch a business, Global Sisters will ask you, or their third-party accountant, to share a receipt for the first sale that you generate. 

This may be shared with the Department of Education.

If you launch a business, the total revenue you earn from your business over three measurement periods.

This includes whether you generate revenue of at least $3,700. 

A third-party accountant will review the Profit and Loss Statement for your business. 

Information on the total revenue you earn over the measurement periods will be shared with Global Sisters and the Department of Education

If you launch a business, the total net profit you generate over three measurement periods.

This includes whether you generate a net profit of at least $7,400 (that is excluding superannuation and before tax). 

A third-party accountant will review the Profit and Loss Statement for your business. 

Information on the net profit you generate over the measurement periods will be shared with Global Sisters and the Department of Education.

Global Sisters may share the personal information it collects throughout the Program with the Department of Education.

Purpose of collection

Your personal information is collected by Global Sisters and the Department of Education for the purpose of administering and managing the Program. This includes, for example:

  • assessing your initial eligibility for participation in the Program.
  • determining program milestones, outcomes and payments to Global Sisters.
  • assessing the performance of the Program.

Global Sisters and the NSW Department of Education will only use your personal information for the purpose of administering, managing and evaluating the Program. Your personal information may also be used or disclosed to other parties where you have agreed to that use or disclosure, or where it is otherwise permitted or required by law.

Privacy of your Personal Information

Global Sisters, its funders and the third-party accountant are subject to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (Schedule 1 of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Personal information collected by Global Sisters, the NSW Department of Education or the third-party accounting firm will be managed in accordance with Global Sisters, the NSW Department of Education and the third-party accounting firm’s privacy obligations.

The NSW Department of Education is subject to the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW) (PPIP Act) and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (NSW) (HRIP Act). The NSW Department of Education only collects such personal information and health information that it considers is reasonably necessary for the administration and management of the Program. Personal information and health information collected by the NSW Department of Education will be managed in accordance with the Department’s privacy obligations.

You have the right to request access to, and correct details of, your personal information and health information held by Global Sisters and the NSW Department of Education.
