It’s a long way from Somalia to Melbourne, but Luul’s new life in Australia has provided her with the opportunity to follow her dream of owning her own business.
Luul is working toward establishing her business, Zuhaira Somali Sauces, sharing her traditional recipes, knowledge, skills and techniques with other women in their community.
The business combines Australian and African culture, including vegetarian food, meals for all times of the day, snacks, sweets and sauces.
Through her business, Luul aims to support herself, her family, and her community here in Australia, and also provide much-needed financial support to people in need back in her home country of Somalia.
Much more than just a delicious and satisfying meal, Luul’s business offers her a future, a chance to achieve financial independence and to finally realise her dreams.
