Sharon Winsor, a Ngemba Weilwan woman of Western NSW, established her business Indigiearth to bring Australian natural products and ingredients to people across the country, offering a wide range of goods such as jams, sauces, chutneys, herbs and spices, herbal teas, biscuits, chocolate coated macadamia nuts, and native skincare products.

Indigiearth is a 100% Aboriginal owned and operated business based in the wine country of Mudgee in central western NSW. Indigiearth sources raw native fruits, produce and materials purchased from Aboriginal communities across the country, ensuring that employment, income and education stay within those communities.

Indigiearth is the product of years of entrepreneurial activity on Sharon’s part. A sole mum of two, she established her first business back in 1996 in west Sydney.

While showcasing the best of Australian native produce Indigiearth has won and been a finalist in numerous business awards. Sharon has also been active in assisting Aboriginal communities to set up wild harvesting, helping to create indigenous owned and run businesses. Indigiearth then purchases back from those businesses.

As a youngster, Sharon collected wild bush fruits and caught yabbies and is now incredibly proud to introduce natural foods to the rest of the country. “Indigiearth is more than just business,” says Sharon. “It’s my healing, my passion and runs deep within my soul.”

Indigiearth has touched the lives of many through employment and educating the wider community about Indigenous Australia and culture via bush tucker workshops and bush tucker cooking classes.
