Meet Natalie

Natalie lives with her family on Gubbi Gubbi Country in the foothills of the Glass House Mountains on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. As a proud Nucoorilma/Ngarabal and Biripi woman, Natalie’s creative process explores ancient First Nations wisdom told through bold and colour visual prints in her swim and resort wear brand,  Native Swimwear Australia. 

Natalie is a board member of the Queensland Fashion Council and her achievements are significant, they include showing collections at Australian Fashion Week & New York Fashion Week. 

Native Swimwear Australia is a First Nation Fashion Label leading the way in sustainability and fair trade, all garments are created in Australia with quality sustainable fabrics and silk, and exclusive licenses to original artwork ensure that first nation artists and their communities benefit from sales.

Natalie draws from her natural surroundings to develop unique and empowering pieces for active and poolside glamour including swimwear, resort wear, activewear and accessories. Each garment has been designed with inspiration from the oldest living culture in the world – the Aboriginal culture -and Natalie’s own experience through motherhood. Her designs feature clever confidence-boosting support and weaving, as well as UV50+ sun and chlorine protection.

Sister Pitch Asks: Natalie is seeking support to develop an e-commerce marketing strategy particularly focused on social media and driving traffic to her website. She is also looking for help to develop a Customer Relationship Management System to nurture the customer journey. Finally, she is hoping to connect with someone to learn about profit margins to help grow the business.
