“Finding Global Sisters was like a bright light – and it wasn’t at the end of the tunnel, it was a lot closer. After being a mum for a while, you tend to lose part of your identity.
I started going into the community and sensed the hardships that other women were experiencing and I knew exactly what help they needed, and how I should go about it. Hovering between referrals, counselling and advocacy, I became a mobile case manager. People were connecting with me and opening up to me – what could I do with that?
I was certain this was my calling. I started teaching refugee and new migrant kids and then met the mothers of those children who needed help. I felt like I had a duty of care and once I started doing something, I felt great. This was the beginning of my healing journey.
Community Support Services Inc., was born in Jan 2018. CSS is non-faith based organisation that runs supportive programs for the marginalised of all colours and all races. We provide emergency food relief, teach women to sew and give after school educational support. I also have my own podcast, The Village. I want to empower women – it takes a village to raise a child and I am trying to revive that village.

There’s a dire need to raise emotional resilience while inspiring as many people along my humble journey. I didn’t start with a business plan, I just followed my heart. I am a woman with a vision, on a mission, and I know I will get there eventually by building a tribe of supportive women who will create a ripple effect. Global Sisters has given me a sense of empowerment and graduating from Sister School has given me back my confidence.
I’d love to educate as many people as possible. I’d like to inspire and empower women and children to believe in themselves and to give them the tools to move forward. What they don’t know is they’re helping me a lot more than I’m helping them.
Global Sisters was the catalyst that helped me transform from the caterpillar to the butterfly.”
