What is Little Green Houses for Her?

Little Green Houses for Her is a women-led housing model created by Global Sisters. It’s designed for women — especially single mums — who want to break free from insecure housing and build a stable future.

We’re currently working on two pilot projects in Armidale, NSW and Geelong,VIC (coming soon).

Each woman owns her own small home and land.

Affordable

Homes are priced to stay within your income — no more than 35% of what you earn.

Supportive financing

With the help of Regional Australia Bank and philanthropic foundations, your loan is backed by guarantees and grants to make it manageable.

Low-cost, energy-efficient living:

These homes are energy-efficient, keeping your utility bills low.

Community living:

Live alongside other women and children in a supportive, micro-community of 4–8 homes with shared community gardens and outdoor spaces.
