Heike is a mum living in inner-city Sydney on the land of the Gadigal people of the Eora nation. After 12 years as a primary carer for her children, Heike found it challenging to re-enter the workforce in her field and decided to create her own dream job. She is a lover of artisan crafts, natural materials and designs that evoke meaning, and through that skill and passion, Memory Box Design was born.
Memory Box Design is a label specialising in textile and ceramic homewares. It creates bespoke and short-run designs that celebrate storytelling, the maker’s mark and all things that bring meaning to objects. Memory Box is committed to ethical and sustainable practices and collaborations with a social conscience.
Sister Pitch Asks: Heike is seeking opportunities for bespoke, small batch product collaborations/partnerships and opportunities for exposure to higher-end, female, environmentally conscious consumers interested in unique, artisan products. In the medium term Heike is looking for a studio space with retail shopfront in Sydney and would welcome any introductions.
