Ashley is a mum of two, living in North Balwyn, Victoria, on the land of the Bunurong Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung peoples of the Eastern Kulin Nation. After having her second child Ashley found getting dressed and moving in her clothes difficult, a problem experienced by the majority of bra wearing humans every day!
Peek A Bras: Peek A Bras aims to change the bra game one Peekabra at a time, overcoming the problems of cost and bras “not working” with all clothes. Ashley’s business will have a social and environmental impact, from reducing bra waste to increasing women’s confidence, showcasing women’s art on designs and creating a positive work environment for women at all stages of life. The product is a seamless custom bralette for all bodies and outfits, with interchangeable “bra skin” designs.
Sister Pitch Asks: Ashley is seeking a mentor to focus on strategic growth (channel & positioning), specifically someone who has paved the way with a new category or invention. She is also seeking PR collaborations within the fashion industry, welcoming midwear and celebrating the inclusiveness of changing bodies. Finally, she is looking for connections to large clothing retailers and fashion brands.
